Fusion Bond Epoxy is a powder epoxy thermosetting coating applied for anticorrosion protection to steel pipelines. The pipe is first blast cleaned and heated. Then epoxy powder is spray applied by electrostatic guns to melt and form a uniform layer that hardens within a minute from application.

Thickness of POWDERKOTE® coatings are in the range of 16 mils to 34 mils (406¸863 µm) depending of type of POWDERKOTE® system to be used and project requirements. Typically, this coating is suitable for pipeline service temperatures up to 94° C. Also, dual layer FBE, ARO, and a third layer of FBE can be applied for UV protection.

• FBE Dual Coating
